Peggy Gou surprised fans by bringing out Central Cee during her set at Gunnersbury Park.
On Saturday (August 17), the DJ played her biggest headline show to date and brought out the ‘Sprinter’ rapper, who she introduced as her “favourite artist” from the UK, to mark the occasion.
He performed ‘BAND4BAND’, his track with Lil Baby. Reflecting on the moment on her Instagram, Gou wrote: “London last night, thank you @centralcee for being my special guest, that was huge! Alrighttttt💙 Thanks everyone who came last night it means a lot to me and all the other artists that I love, my sexy dancers & all my team!”

Although most fans in attendance at the London festival reacted well to the rapper’s surprise appearance, some social media users online noted that people near them were booing. The Standard reported that there were “rather bemused cheers” when the rapper joined her.
Some argued this was because of a clash of genres, with one TikTok user writing: “This is a dance music crowd. How was this ever going to go down well?” Check out more fan reactions below.

Others cited his recent breakup with content creator Madeline Argy, following rumours he cheated on her with Ice Spice – although many think the relationship drama has been manufactured to promote their new collaboration, ‘Did It First’.
Earlier this year, the rapper also featured as a special guest at Nicki Minaj’s ‘Pink Friday 2’ concert in Manchester, where he also performed ‘BAND4BAND’ towards the end of her set.
Elsewhere in her Gunnerbury Park set, Gou played a remix of Charli XCX and Billie Eilish’s latest collaboration on ‘Guess’, the video for which used 10,000 pairs of pants that were then donated to I Support The Girls.
