‘Black Ops 6’ players are using hostage mode to sing to opponents

Amongst other things

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has a multiplayer beta and players are already getting up to no good.

A new feature in Black Ops 6 allows players to take opponents hostage and use them as human shields. As reported by VG247, this feature has been combined with the live mic activation and proximity from Warzone to allow players to talk to their enemies once they’ve grabbed them.

Some players have opted to sing to their human shields, but others have opted to pretend to have sex with their captives and whisper in their ear as they walk them around the map. Fortunately, voice communications can be disabled, so if you don’t want to hear anything when someone uses this new mechanic, you don’t have to.

In the video above, a player can be seen in a montage grabbing different opponents and whispering or singing Usher in their ear as he walks them around the map. To one player he says, “be easy, white chocolate,” and to another he whispers, “how that feel on your back?”

Other people have been grabbing pairs of players and running them into each other while saying “you wanna kiss each other?” and making kissing noises.

This new mechanic has been added alongside the omnimovement system which has already seen players landing some impressive trickshots. People have been dolphin diving over ledges and off rooftops while spinning around and then shooting other players.
